Hey! I'm Heather sole owner and producer here at Bag Gal Boocha. In my lap is Hyasper - he's in charge of HR/Admin.

Bad Gal Boocha began in July 2019 as a way for me to fund my nursing degree. Kombucha is my lifeeeeeee! Inspired by a bag of rubbish picked off Elie beach, our main focus is to create a kombucha that is gentle on the earth. The fact it tastes amazing is an added bonus. Our kombucha is made with fresh and local ingredients and we work hard to maintain strong relationships with other local businesses. With sustainability being at the forefront of our business we strive to make the most eco kombucha on the market. How do we do this? We use fresh, local ingredients (usually sourced within 20 miles of Bad Gal HQ) and only buy what we need, we also buy our ingredients loose whenever possible. Our bottles are made from 70% recycled glass. The labels are made from Kraft paper meaning they are compostable and break down easily. The only energy used is electricity - which comes from a renewable source - to boil the water to make the tea. There are no machines involved in the kombucha making process, everything is done fully by hand. If you order from us online your order will be shipped to you and packed with all recycled/recyclable materials.
